After a long holiday weekend of working on the website, all of the images are up and it is beginning to look like a real website.
Most of the build work for the new site is complete. Yesterday we spent most of the day adding images and formatting to flesh out the site. We have also added a “Knowledge Center” portion of the website, with information on how to get started in weak signal VHF/UHF operating.
Previously the club was publishing calendars in pdf form and sending them out among members. Another advantage of the new website is integration with an online calendar – Google in our case. Members can now view the Calendar page on the website and check upcoming events, including nets, training events, and contests.
Today the club’s new website debuts online. Our old site has always had good content, but was in need of a refreshed look. With the new domain name and a migration to WordPress we will be able to offer a lot more resources to members. Enjoy the site!
